COLLABORATIVE SOLUTIONS, INC. is a visionary organization dedicated to the advancement of “human-centric skills training” since the 1990s. We develop programs that augment internal living, which results in the rediscovery of your purpose, commitment, and contribution. Our mission is to create a supportive environment for the reinvention of women and men, where they can release their potential and propel society’s progress.
Michele Risa, CEO and Founder, has been working on a project to create employment for 1 million low-income women in the MENA region- Middle East/North Africa. This continues her commitment to community building worldwide, when in 1991 she traveled to Moscow and St. Petersburg to support women by setting up business incubators. Many still exist today. Today, she is expanding workshops across college campuses worldwide and seeks to serve 1 million by 2035.
Across universities, students can sense that something fundamental has been hidden, diluted, or replaced: achievement instead of meaning, ideology instead of wisdom, consumption instead of fellowship.
While universities teach academic excellence, we teach inner excellence—the skills that allow students to thrive personally, socially, and professionally. We address the lack of connection and belonging to foster cohesiveness within and between our communities.
Universities United is an immersive, multi-campus initiative bringing together students from different campuses, cultures and countries.
Our program includes workshops that bridge divides, improves communication, and fosters intergenerational connection. We establish Mentorships and Ambassador Teams across universities like Sorbonne, New York University, Penn State, and Emory University- now expanding to 10 universities across 6 countries.
Due to global chaos and uncertainty, college campuses today are experiencing high levels of divisiveness—social, political, and interpersonal. Students often feel overwhelmed, isolated, scared, and unable to fully express themselves. According to a 2023 survey by the Higher Education Research Institute, over 60% of college students report feeling uncomfortable sharing their views on controversial topics in class.
At Collaborative Solutions, we believe that when students investigate their values and strengthen their emotional intelligence, they connect to their inner clarity, become stronger leaders, and can help shape more connected, conscious communities.
Due to the current divisiveness, there are deep gaps between beliefs, communication, and solutions.
This is the gap our program fills.
The program is 6 months: 3 months receiving and learning. 3 months giving back and mentoring. Within the first 3 months, we focus on: self-discovery, agency and consciousness; communication and connection; masterful story-telling and healing. In the second half, students share their Campus Impact Projects which enable them to “shine” and show off the incredible difference they are making.
